Walking
The area offers some
150 km of excellent footpaths for walkers. A network of forest roads gives access to the paths at several points, so you can choose any length of walk you wish. Simple maps and route descriptions are available at
the Tourist Office.
SjuvallsledenPath is a hilly path passing some of the highest peaks in Hälsingland. The path is 32 km long and starts at the Ofärne activity centre in Forsa. It takes you past seven traditional hill farms south of the Dellen lakes and finishes in Delsbo. Another path from Hudiksvall connects up with it at Ofärne, so you can in fact walk all the way from Hudiksvall to Delsbo, a distance of some 50 km.
KolarstigenPath is 32 km long and fairly hilly. It takes you through the woods north of North Dellen lake, between Sörgimma and Hallboviken, passing six hill farms en route.
KajevallsledenPath is 43 km long and runs between Delsbo and Ljusdal. It connects Sjuvallsleden and Ljusnanleden, which together constitute a footpath some 90 km long. It is relatively undemanding, though undulating in places
