Seven different fishing areas offer the keen fisherman a variety of fishing waters, from lakes and rivers to stocked waters.
You may fish freely in the sea without a permit, as long as you use a rod and line. Perch, pike, whitefish, salmon, grayling, Baltic herring and sea-trout are amongst your possible catches. You need a permit, however, for fishing in lakes and rivers.
The Tourist Office has all the necessary information about fishing in the waters around Hudiksvall. Fishing permits are also on sale there.
